In this session, we continued on the journey through all the adjustments, and finished all the built-in ones. Here's what we covered:

  • Retouch
  • Red-eye
  • White Balance
    • Neutral Gray, Skin Tone (so cool!), and Temperature / Tint
  • Levels (with a brief explanation of back and white points, and understanding contrast)
  • Curves (which I will dedicate an entire session on in the near future)
  • Definition
  • Selective Color
  • Noise Reduction
  • Sharpen
  • Vignette

Next week we will dive into Extensions!

Hi Joseph.  In re-watching this session (1503), I realised that there is another feature of retouch that I think was missed, which is the clone feature.

When clicking the pen a message appears at the base of the image.  The first is for what was shown.   The second is for cloning, which states ‘Option-Click to choose the source area’.

I believe cloning would have enabled the removal of the blemish with a hair running through it quite satisfactorily.    KRs F
